§ Mr. Donald Stewartasked the Lord Advocate what arrangements are being made to secure Scottish representation on the Communities' Court of Justice in the event of the United Kingdom joining the European Communities.
§ The Lord AdvocateUnder the Treaty of Accession the Court of Justice of the European Communities will be enlarged by the appointment of additional judges and of an additional Advocate-General. While these appointments will fall to be made by common accord between the governments of the Member States of the Communities, it is reasonable to expect that there will be British representation on the court. This representation could, of course, be drawn from any of the parts of the United Kingdom.
