§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will seek to introduce legislation to impose the same minimum standards in buildings and physical conditions for pupils and teachers in schools as apply to shop assistants, office workers and other workers under the Shops, Offices and Railway Premises Act.
§ Mrs. ThatcherSubstantial safeguards for teachers and pupils are already provided under existing law but I shall consider this matter when the Committee on Safety and Health at Work has reported.
