§ 51. Mr. William Clarkasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the powers available to local authorities for preventing the parking of large lorries and haulage vehicles in residential roads.
§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsThe appropriate powers are contained in Section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1967 or Section 6 for Greater London. Section 9 of the Act enables restrictions to be applied experimentally. There are also powers under certain local Acts.
