§ Mr. Neaveasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether she will amend the Awards Regulations so that in assessing the parental contribution to student grants account may be taken of a drop in the family income arising from the father's retirement from Her Majesty's Forces.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeThe Awards Regulations already provide for the contribution to be reassessed when the parental income over the period of a financial year is likely to be reduced by at least one-fifth.
