HC Deb 29 June 1972 vol 839 cc412-3W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Minister for the Civil Service whether he will list in one table the dates when all those covered by the Boyle Report on salaries for the higher paid state servants last received a salary increase; what increases were given to each grade; and what changes there have been in the expenses allowances to these individuals.

Mr. Kenneth Baker

Yes. The table shows the dates when each group covered by the Boyle Report last received a salary increase together with the cash amount of the increase given. These increases were the final stages of the awards recommended in 1969 by the appropriate bodies advising on the pay of these groups, and the resultant salaries represented those thought to be correct at 1969 levels.
