The figure is a total of those items which can be identified as falling within these terms. The provisional estimate of receipts from abroad for insurance and banking services and for shipping in 1971 is £1,905 million, or about 35 per cent. of total invisible exports. Revised figures will be published in September in the United Kingdom Balance of Payments 1972.
