§ 56. Mr. Julius Silvermanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will use his powers, under the Town and Country Planning Act, to intervene and revoke the decision of the Birmingham Planning Authority to give planning permission for a 96-bedroom hotel at the corner of Huston Hill and Gravelly Hill North in Birmingham, in view of the fact that this is a residential area and this construction will cause inconvenience to to the residents and increase of traffic congestion.
§ Mr. SpeedNo. As the hon. Member knows, such action is quite exceptional and my right hon. Friend does not think its use would be justified in this case.
