§ Mr. Muddasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will issue a circular to those local authorities whose restoration of scheduled derelict land is below the national average level, drawing their attention to the assistance available for this purpose, in view of the contribution that restoration can make to easing the land shortages and reducing the use of agricultural land for development.
§ Mr. Graham PageI do not think that local authorities need reminding of the generous grants available. During 1972–73 no restraint is being placed on reclamation expenditure by priority area authorities, who are being given all possible encouragement by the Department's regional offices to increase their rate of progress.
