§ 60. Mr. Milneasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what, in view of increased productivity in the coal industry, is Her Majesty's Government's policy in regard to the continuance and extension of coal-fired power stations throughout Great Britain.
§ Mr. Tom BoardmanProposals relating to the fuelling of power stations are a matter for the generating boards. I expect coal to continue to meet a major part of the nation's energy requirements, and I welcome improved productivity in the coal industry.
