§ Mr. Michael Cocksasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what arrangements are being made for training additional staff taken on by the Customs and Excise Department to deal with value added tax; and by whom this training will be done.
§ Mr. HigginsTraining of staff for value added tax is being carried out by the Customs and Excise Department's Training Division. A number of experienced members of the staff have been given intensive preliminary training to act as instructors.
