§ Mr. David Priceasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a progress report upon his Department's research into the health hazards of lead in petrol.
§ Mr. PeytonI accept the advice of the Chief Medical Officer of Health that current levels of lead emissions do not present any danger to health, but that it is desirable those levels should not be exceeded and should if possible be reduced. I am urgently reviewing how best to give effect to this advice.
