Mr. Dalyellasked the Lord President of the Council if he will take steps to make available seats at the Chairman's table in Standing Committee on the Finance Bill on the left of the Chairman, for advisers to Opposition Members, to counter-balance the seats occupied by advisers from the Treasury, in order to obtain equality of information.
§ Mr. R. CarrNo. There are no available seats on the left of the Chairman of a Standing Committee. Opposition advisers may use the public seats which, in Standing Committees, are conveniently close to Members' seats.
