§ Mr. McGuireasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement on the delay experienced in commissioning new coal, nuclear or oil power stations, giving in each case the original estimated completion date 279W and the revised one, the length and cause of the delay, and the estimated percentage increase in generating costs as a result of such delays.
§ Mr. EmeryThere has been a reduction in the delay since the Wilson Committee reported on the matter in 1969. I will ask the Chairman of the CEGB to provide the hon. Member with information on the present position.
