Dame Irene Wardasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he has examined the joint recommendations from the Chambers of Shipping and the Shipbuilders and Repairers National Association designed to protect the future prospects of these bodies; and whether a Bill based on these recommendations complementary to the Industry Bill will be forthcoming without delay.
§ Mr. John DaviesI am glad that the Chamber of Shipping and the Shipbuilders and Repairers National Association have been able to co-operate in considering the problems of their respective industries. Their proposals are under urgent consideration.
