§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he proposes to set up some area health boards on an experimental basis; what are the number and localities chosen; if they will have a constitution on the basis of the suggestions contained in his Consultative Document; what plans he has to monitor these experiments; and if he will make a statement.
§ Sir K. JosephI do not propose to establish any experimental area health authorities or boards. For my proposals on National Health Service reorganisation generally, I would ask the hon. Member to await the White Paper I shall be issuing during the summer.
