Mr. Pavitt

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing the present remuneration per week by all grades of hospital doctor and the average remuneration of general practitioners.

The fees and allowances recommended by the Review Body are intended to provide an average net remuneration for general medical practitioners of £5,185 a year—equal to £99.44 a week.

The remuneration of doctors and dentists taking any part in the National Health Service is subject to review for the period beginning 1st April, 1972, by the Review Body on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration.
