§ Mr. Roperasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will publish in the Official Report a table showing for the most recent convenient year the taxes on expenditure and subsidies allocated to consumer expenditure on the same basis as table three of the article on this subject in "Economic Trends" of November, 1970, and showing an estimate of the value added tax and car tax, as proposed in the Finance Bill, on the same expenditure groups for the same year.
