HC Deb 05 June 1972 vol 838 cc13-4W
Mr. Millan

asked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will list the organizations and interests with which he is discussing the question of whether or not supersonic flying should be allowed over land in the United Kingdom.

Mr. Onslow

Representations on this subject are received from time to time from a number of sources including local authorities and members of the public. Supersonic aircraft will not however come into commercial service for two or three years and a decision will be taken well before then. All relevant views will be taken into account in reaching that decision.
