§ Mr. DeanIn 1966, the latest year for which figures are available, about 340,000 women aged 60–64 years were married to men aged 65 and over. In December, 1971, 317,000 such wives were receiving retirement pensions on their husband's insurance, but there were in addition an unknown number with pensions by right of their own insurance.
