§ Mr. LaneIn the period 1972 to 1976 expenditure on the Urban Programme is estimated at some £48 million at 1971 prices.
Over 2,000 projects have so far been approved in some 188 different local authority areas. The programme makes a worth-while contribution towards meeting the special needs of areas with acute social problems.
