§ Mr. Dudley SmithAt 10th July, the number of people registered as unemployed in the Consett, Stanley and Lanchester travel-to-work area was 2,277 (1,768 men, 311 women, 132 boys and 66 girls) and the percentage rate of unemployment was 7.1 (8.5 for males and 3.9 for females).
