Inter-urban Trunk Road System (Hansard, 19 July 1972)

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in further development of his planning for the inter-urban trunk road system announced on 23rd June, 1971, he will extend the trunk road preparation pool; and if he will make a statement.

We have today included in the trunk road preparation pool 65 schemes estimated to cost a total of some £60 million. These schemes include many bypass and relief road proposals which will bring significant environmental benefits to a number of towns and villages. The full list is:
