§ Mr. Dudley SmithOn 17th July there were 122 men and eight women North Staffordshire residents registered as unemployed with our Professional and Executive service. Forty-two men and two women were qualified in technical and scientific subjects at the Higher National level or above.
§ Mr. Pardoeasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many persons have so far enrolled on the Professional Register; and how many have been placed in permanent employment.
§ Mr. Dudley SmithDuring the 12 months to 8th March, 1972, the latest date to which final figures are available, the register dealt with 112,564 registrations for employment. During the same period, 12,839 placings in employment were made by the register, of which the overwhelming majority were in permanent employment.
