many more mergers were known to the Department but not screened.
§ Mr. John DaviesSince 1965 the Department has examined all the 675 merger proposals which appeared to satisfy the criteria of Section 6 of the Monopolies and Mergers Act 1965. Of these, 3W 15, or just over two per cent., were referred to the Monopolies Commission.
