asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she is prepared to implement the Tunbridge recommendation for a study to be made of the number of educational facilities for handicapped children throughout the year, and if she will make a statement.

The Tunbridge report was addressed to my right hon. Friend Defence", as defined for National Income and Expenditure purposes and explained in Annex B table 1 of the 1972 Statement on Defence Estimates, is as follows:

the Secretary of State for Social Services, who will consult me about any recommendations affecting the education service.
