§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps he is taking to deal with the increase in the practice of adding drugs to large volume injections and to promote the general recognition of the hazards to health this involves.
§ Mr. AlisonI am aware of the concern about this practice felt by some doctors, nurses and pharmacists and last year my Department circulated to hospital pharmacists a report on certain pharmaceutical aspects. The need for further guidance is under consideration although ultimately decisions on clinical practice are matters for the three professions.
