§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister whether he will seek an early opportunity of meeting the President of the United States of America to discuss the strengthening of the Atlantic Alliance and the future of the special relationships between Great Britain and the United States of America following Great Britain's possible entry into the Common Market.
§ The Prime MinisterI have at present no plans to meet the President. I discussed these questions with the President in Bermuda last December and since then we have had continuing exchanges at all levels with the United States Administration, dealing with all aspects of relations between the United States and the United Kingdom as a member of the enlarged European Communities.
