HC Deb 04 July 1972 vol 840 c96W
Sir G. Nabarro

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what impact on the level of unemployment has been made since the Budget by Her Majesty's Government's reflationary measures.

Mr. Nott

Between April and June the seasonally adjusted total of wholly unemployed in Great Britain has fallen by 92,000. This most encouraging trend shows that the Government's reflationary measures are now being reflected in the labour market.
