§ 57. Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will give the latest available figures of the numbers of men unemployed for over 12 months in South Shields, and a subdivision showing their age composition for the same date.
§ Mr. Dudley SmithAt 10th April, the latest date for which information is available in the area covered by the South Shields Employment Exchange, the number of wholly unemployed males who had been registered for more than 52 weeks was 799. Of these,14 were under 18 years of age and 785 were aged 18 years and over.
