asked the Secretary of State for Employment what was the number of unfilled vacancies in the construction industry in the North-West at the most recent date.

At 7th June the number of notified vacancies remaining unfilled in the construction industry in the North-West region was 1,251. The figure relates only to notified vacancies remaining unfilled and does not purport to measure the total unsatisfied demand for labour.
