§ Mr. Dudley SmithRedundancies involving 78,700 workpeople in Scotland were notified to my Department in the period 9th June, 1970, to 12th June,1972. A breakdown of these figures by nationalised industries, the public sector taken as a whole and by the private sector is not available and can be obtained only by a disproportionate charge on public funds.
