HC Deb 28 January 1972 vol 829 cc537-8W
Mr. Molloy

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what plans he has for the short-term and longer-term improvement of the Western Avenue-Hanger Lane intersection, Ealing; and what are the maximum designed traffic flows into and out of Hanger Lane for each scheme.

Mr. Michael Heseltine

The short-term plan is to widen Hanger Lane railway bridge to enable Hanger Lane to carry a peak two-way traffic flow of 7,000 vehicles per hour.

Consultants have not yet submitted their final report of a feasibility study into the longer-term improvement of this intersection and others on the North Circular Road and Western Avenue.
