§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he is aware that the European Economic Community has now agreed to pay wage rises between 6 per cent. and 7 per cent.; to what extent Her Majesty's Government's figure of 7 per cent. is based upon the European Economic Community's recommendation; and whether, on entry into the European Economic Community, this country will be bound by this regulation.
§ Mr. BryanI refer the hon. Member to the answer given him by my hon. Friend the Minister of State, Treasury, on 21st January.
