§ Mr. BryanOur records, which are not comprehensive, show that redundancies involving 1,250 males were due to occur in the Hartlepool and Hartlepool Headland travel-to-work area in the period 1st July, 1970, to 31st December, 1971. Provisional figures for January, 1972, show 27 notified vacancies for males unfilled in the travel-to-work area; 37.2 per cent. of the males wholly unemployed had been registered as unemployed for six months or more.
