Q18. Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Prime Minister whether he will now seek to visit Malta, or invite Mr. Mintoff, the Prime Minister of Malta, to visit this country, for the purpose of discussing outstanding difficulties.

I have no plans to do so: but my right hon. and noble Friend the Secretary of State for Defence had discussions with Mr. Mintoff in Rome last Saturday, and expects to do so again tomorrow.
