Since 18th June, 1970, 14 advance factories have been authorised at:

  • Cumberland:
    • Millom.
    • Workington.
  • Durham:
    • Houghton-le-Spring.
    • Stanley.
  • Northumberland:
    • Blyth.
    • Cramlington.
  • Dumfries:
    • Sanquhar.
  • Dunbarton:
    • Clydebank (3 factories).
  • Lanark:
    • Lesmahagow.
  • Glamorgan:
    • Merthyr Tydfil.
  • Monmouth:
    • Abercarn.
    • Ebbw Vale.
