§ 63. Mr. Hastingsasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will now make a statement on his review of the Irish Free Trade Agreement in the light of United Kingdom entry to the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantIt has been agreed during the negotiations for accession to the E.E.C. that the tariff provisions of the agreement may be continued during the transitional period. The agricultural provisions will largely be overtaken at the outset of the transitional period, when both parties adopt the common agricultural policy.
