§ Mr. Luceasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what is his estimate of the additional costs of the RB211 programme caused by Rolls-Royce (1971) Limited having to renegotiate all subcontracts with the sub-contractors.
§ Mr. CorfieldSome £30 million is likely to be added to the cost of producing the 555 RB211 engines for which 397W the Government have a funding commitment. Renegotiation of sub-contracts was taken into account in the cost estimates for completing the programme which are contained in the Rolls-Royce White Paper.
