§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT a fully detailed statement for the Metropolitan Police area, giving for the longest and most convenient stated period of time, the number of occasions when persons with no previous criminal records or charges, have, on arrest, been handcuffed, finger-printed, and remanded in custody without the granting of bail; and in each of these cases what the charge was, and what happened at the subsequent prosecution.
