§ 31. Mr. Eadieasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will call for a report from chief constables in relation to the conduct of police in areas where picketing took place during the miners' strike.
§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithI have no reason to believe that the police have not been 301W discharging their difficult duties with propriety; and I therefore do not propose to call for such reports. If the hon. Member has any specific matter in mind, I am of course prepared to look into it.
