§ Mr. Peter ThomasIn January, 1971, the latest date for which the information is available, the average class size in primary schools in Wales was 28.3 and in Flintshire 30.4. Local education authorities in Wales have already done a great deal to reduce the size of classes. The greatly enlarged school building programmes that I have announced, together with an improved supply of teachers, will enable further progress to be made.
