HC Deb 22 February 1972 vol 831 cc284-5W
Q20. Mr. Parry

asked the Prime Minister what discussions he had with the Merseyside Unemployment Advisory Committee on 11th February; and if he will make a statement.

The Prime Minister

The committee put to me a number of proposals aimed at promoting employment and strengthening the industrial resources of Merseyside. I explained that Merseyside would benefit from the general measures of reflation already taken by the Government, as well as from the additional help extended to the development areas. I undertook that the specific proposals made by the committee would be fully considered, and that I would then write to it.
