§ 2. Mr. Abseasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether he is aware that two operating theatres completed in 1968 at the Royal Gwent Hospital lack refrigeration plant and suffer temperatures up to 96 deg. Fahrenheit and that no assurance exists that the seven remaining theatres to be completed under the Phase V building scheme will have cooling plant; and whether, to avoid reduction of the work load and enable operations to be performed in proper conditions, he will ensure that cooling plants are installed.
§ Mr. Gibson-WattThe Welsh Hospital Board proposes that all nine main operating theatres will be fitted with cooling plant on completion of Phase V of the redevelopment of the hospital.
