§ Mr. Anthony StodartMy right hon. Friend is aware of the statement by the United States Food and Drug Administration about the preliminary results of one of a number of studies about the safety of using saccharin. When the results of all relevant studies are available they will be examined by the Food Additives and Contaminants Committee and the Pharmacology Sub-Committee so that an informed assessment can be made.
