§ Mr. Eldon GriffithsThe choice of venue is a matter entirely for the British Commonwealth Games Federation, which represents all member nations of the Commonwealth. In this country, the initiative for proposing a British city as host rests with the Commonwealth Games Council who, after a detailed investigation, have recommended Leeds. The Government are prepared to support this recommendation.
