§ Mr. Tebbitasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will make a statement on his plans regarding the general dental service and the National Health Service.
§ Sir K. JosephThe Government have no intention of withdrawing the general dental services from the National Health Service, either wholly or partly. On the contrary, I intend shortly to invite the British Dental Association to participate in a joint examination of how we might improve dental services by seeking to ensure that the increasing resources for these services referred to in Cmnd. 4829 are used as effectively as possible.
