§ Mr. SharplesThe provisions now in force are Section 25, in so far as it creates a new offence of assisting illegal entry; Section 28, in so far as it extends the time limit on summary proceedings for that offence and for certain offences of unauthorised entry; and Part IV.
My right hon. Friend expects to be able to bring the other provisions of the Act into force on a date later this year.
