§ 77. Mr. Blakerasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what reply he has given to the request of the British Scrap Federation for an extension of the open general licence system for export of compressed new steel and cast iron.
§ Mr. RidleyAn open general export licence for cast iron scrap has been issued, operative from 3rd February, 1972. A decision on whether to remove the existing export controls on compressed unused steel sheet and sheet cuttings will be made in the near future.
