HC Deb 04 February 1972 vol 830 c224W
Mr. Redmond

asked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications whether he will give a general direction to the Post Office that, since many mailing businesses depend on their ability to offer suitable prices, including postage long in advance, at least 12 months' notice should be given before there is material increase in postage rates, especially for second-class mail.

Mr. Chataway

No. The Post Office already seeks to give as much advance notice as possible.
