asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many redundant miners were registered as unemployed in the Kirkcaldy and Leven employment exchanges, respectively, in the month of December for each of the years 1969, 1970 and 1971.

Mr. Bryan

The numbers of workers affected by planned reduction in colliery manpower registered as unemployed in December in each of the years 1969, 1970 and 1971 at Kirkcaldy employment exchange were 41, 34 and 113, respectively. The corresponding figures for Leven employment exchange were 206, 206 and 147.
